Interview with Ras Muffet at Wadada Festival 2023

Ras Muffet has been a strong name for years with his Bristol-based Roots Injection Sound System. He was born to Jamaican parents in Bristol in the late 1950s and moved to Catford in Southeast London at the age of twelve, where he followed his cousin Neville The Musical Enchanter and started his sound system journey as a boxboy for Jah Shaka in the early 70s.
Eventually, Muffet relocated in Bristol, where he now runs his studio and sound system and cuts loads of dubs on a regular basis.
At Wadada Festival 2023, we sat down with the man and had a chat about his life and his musical journey.
